The Role

The Graphic Designer (specializing in Technical Packaging Design) is responsible for designing a wide variety of compelling visuals across digital and offline media that inspire and captivate audiences. The role will have a strong eye for customer-focused visuals, detail-oriented, organized, and a great knowledge of email marketing and social ad design principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizes and edits on-trend technical packaging designs, editorial photographs, social assets and product imagery to produce high-quality final creative assets - Photograph product and marketing elements for brand campaigns;
  • Stays in the loop with the latest developments in the field of design and be familiar with the industry marketing programs;
  • Collaborates effectively with team members across creative and strategy;
  • Demonstrates an ability to be innovative and is willing to push the boundaries with cool designs and concepts;
  • Ensures proper sign off process-proofreads and verifies content & specs for all projects assigned;
  • Contributes to mind-mapping, brainstorming, and interactive design discussions and uses clear communication skills to present design ideas to the team; and
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned

Core Competencies and Qualifications

  • Degree in Graphic Design or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design in a marketing environment specifically with prior experience in Technical Packaging Design is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of the digital environment, including files, formats, and best practices
  • An out of the box thinker who can create breakthrough plans and ideas while others together when need
  • Ability to meet deadlines on a daily basis and multitask in a very fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A dynamic, outgoing individual
  • Willingness to be coached and open to change
  • IT WOULD BE GREAT BUT NOT COMPLETELY NECESSARY TO HAVE...Experience with building social assets in Adobe Photoshop
  • Previous work experience in the beauty industry
  • Knowledge of trending beauty industry
