  • Responsible for managing large-scale construction projects, including effectively managing construction timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and external contractors, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies and effectively communicating with stakeholders
  • Understand logistic operations and collaborate with the operations team to translate operation requirements into sorting center structural requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to optimize the layout and structural design for efficient sorting center operations, including future-proofing needs.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in logistics and warehouse operations, incorporating best practices into projects.

Functional Excellence:

  • Perform structural analysis and provide recommendations for existing and new structures in warehouses and sorting centers.
  • Review and finalize submissions to authorities for approval of designs for new installations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the tendering process by evaluating vendor technical and commercial proposals.
  • Support the project management team in managing building construction, installation and commissioning, and uphold high quality standards on contractors.
  • Take responsibility for detailed drawings, quality assurance, calculations, and the method of installation of facilities and machine equipment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance and efficiency strategies, encompassing preventive maintenance, employee training, regulatory compliance, and safety enhancement to optimize facility operations and equipment reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related field). Professional Engineer license in Structural Engineering is required.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale constructions projects in the field of warehouses and sorting centers.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Building codes, regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders and respond to technical inquiries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend solutions to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Traveling to project sites and/or external contractors office is required
  • Amenable to be assigned in Calamba, Laguna
