Job Description

  • Lead the delivery of coding while meeting quality criteria and project constraints
  • Explore and try different methods to improve productivity of the team
  • Ensure alignment to IT area roadmaps and strategies
  • Meet service levels for systems (availability, security, and performance)
  • Influence the direction of the overall architecture
  • Understands deeply about the modern tools, platforms, and devops concepts
  • Critical attention to detail about code, efficiency, and design
  • Has strong problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills
  • Develop and maintain standards of software development and components where applicable Identify and reduce technical debt
  • Mentor & coach other developers in their learning & development
  • Be able to work alone or with others as needs dictate
  • Take ownership of all assigned tasks
  • Take ownership of systems and services assigned in production
  • Be proactive in promoting 'Best Practices'
  • Be available for out of hours support as required
  • Has experience working in an agile development lifecycle
  • Communication (written/verbal) to be well developed and of a professional standar
  • Can liaise with a broad range of people, including line management, senior management, Product owners, and related people.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience with the latest versions of JavaScript (ES7/ESNext), HTML, CSS and npm
* Experience with Typescript
  • Familiarity with modern frameworks (ReactJS, Vue, Svelte) is a plus
* Knowledge on Web components, W3C Standards, and Web accessibility
* Internationalization and Localization
* JS tooling and CI/CD
o Build tooling (rollup / webpack / babel)
o Code quality tools (eslint, prettier)
o Unit testing (Karma, mocha, chai)
o Package and dependency management, semantic versioning
o Git / Gitflow, Branching strategies
o Basic scripting (bash and/or python)
o CI/CD Automation
* Servers, Platforms, and Analytics
o (node)
o NGINX
o CDN and caching
o Proxies and Gateway management
o HTTP Protocols and browser networking
o Web Analytics and Logging
* Security
o JWT / SAML
o API Security
* Architecture
o Large scale client-side web applications
