We are looking for someone to be take responsibility for Data Protection issues in the APAC region. This person would also be registered as the Data Protection Officer in the Philippines. This is a new opportunity to create a full time role as CloudPay expands its services in the region.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:

• Being the APAC area lead on Data Protection issues and legislation in the region, providing guidance and ensuring that CloudPay is working in accordance with prevailing Data Protection laws and requirements.

• Being the recognised Data Protection Officer in the Philippines, ensuring that the DPO registration and documentation is in order, including being the focal point for all enquiries from the local statutory authorities.

• Investigating any local data incidents providing effective reporting to customers whilst liaising with UK data privacy team.

• Providing training of payroll operatives in the region on their responsibilities in processing personal data

• Providing Compliance support as required in the region, including customer audit and vendor compliance.

• Feeding into CloudPay's various ISO and other certification programs as required.

• Assisting with other ad hoc functional duties as required.

This role will ensure that CloudPay is meeting its data protection responsibilities within the APAC region with a particular emphasis on the Philippines (must be Philippines resident)

Attributes and Experience Required:


• Hold a recognised Data Protection qualification.

• Good understanding of international data protection legislation with knowledge of the APAC region (knowledge of Philippines Data Protection regime and the GDPR is essential)

• Good understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Data Protection Officer within the Philippines

• Extremely organised and able to proactively prioritise and manage competing workload demands.

• Great attention to detail

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint and able to produce high quality documents.

• Able to drive things forward both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at all levels.

• Ability to communicate effectively in written as well as spoken form.

• Experience of training staff on data privacy topics

• Working in a technology environment

• Managing data protection processes

• Working within a global organisation
