  • Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Assign, monitor progress, and evaluates work accomplishments of all project site staff.
  • Collaborate with clients and architects. Engineers and other stakeholders define project requirements, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed scopes of work, schedules, resources, allocation, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure project milestones and project deadlines are met.
  • Monitor the project's progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and value engineering to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead project meetings, and effectively communicate project objectives, progress, and expectations to all stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven experience of 5-10 years as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects of varying complexity.
  • Experience working with Japanese or multinational organizations is highly desirable for the role.
  • Open to work on Sundays or Holidays
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Professional licenses and certifications such as Project Management certification will be preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of CAD is a plus
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green building standards
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
