About the Role

As the Software Front-end Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a Software-as-a-Service application using either (or and), Java Spring Boot, NodeJS, Python and Web technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain web applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
  • Deliver solutions to meet requirements and code quality standards
  • Work collaboratively (in a geographically distributed team)
  • Collaborate with UX/ UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive web elements
  • Work in an Agile (Scrum) development environment
  • Refactor and optimise code, create/maintain documentation
  • Write automated tests (i.e. unit and component tests)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Front-end Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks / libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue js.
  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and front-end optimization techniques.
  • Experience in constructing software using loose coupling/high cohesion (through APIs, streams, queues)
  • Familiar with secure software development practices (OWASP)
  • Familiar with AWS (Serverless, Cloud Services, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS)
  • Experience using NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB, MongoDB, Elastic Search)
  • Experience working within a CI/CD environment
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Passion for learning new technologies and approaches (but the willingness to maintain legacy systems short term)
  • Knowledge of IPFS and Cryptography a nice to have.
  • Working closely with UX / UI to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive web interfaces.
  • Familiarity with security concepts and protocols to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
