We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for patients, the ideal candidate will have a strong medical background and exceptional interpersonal skills.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a positive experience for our patients.Responsibilities:
- Greet and attend to patients or visitors and help them scheduling appointments, maintaining records and accounts.
- Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, Medical Staff's time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying medical staff of patient's arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding medical staff of service delays.
- Comforts patients by anticipating patient's anxieties, answering patients' questions, and maintaining the reception area.
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment, and maintenance reports
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role (preferably a registered nurse)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Willing to work on Weekends
