About the Cultural Center of the Philippines

CCP was established in 1966 and designed by premier architects during that time, Leandro Locsin and Ildefonso Santos Jr. It took three years to build this gigantic building.

Since then, CCP has been presenting and producing dance, music, theater, literary, visual arts, design, and cinematic events from the Philippines and all over the world. It enjoys the autonomy of operations and policy, and its properties are managed by the corporation itself for the benefit of the people of the Philippines.

Your role
  • Continue Inventory of the materials under the Visual Arts Archives including its essential metadata.
  • Execute the Visual Arts Archive and Library Project Plan which should include programs on the preservation and conservation of the materials, their digitization, and access, and their physical and digital storage, among others.
  • Locate, prepare and digitize available materials from the VAMD Archives and Library as requested by VAMD, other CCP offices or external researchers, or materials from other CCP offices for use of the VAMD.
  • Process acceptance and accessioning of new materials for the VAMD Archives and Library.
  • Coordinate with the relevant CCP offices for the proper turnover and disposition of administrative records and various archival materials and records from the VAMD Archives and Library that are beyond their retention period.
  • Ensure proper movement and storage of CCP's Visual Arts Archive and Library during the CCP building rehabilitation program.

Through its Cultural Exchange Program, the CCP supports the growth and development of arts councils all over the country through relevant workshops and seminars. Through exchange programs with these organizations and with other institutions, Filipinos have been able to glimpse the beauty of different cultures from various countries, witnessing many triumphant performances from highly-acclaimed artists all over the world. The Arts Education Program nurtures the next generation of artists and audiences who will support their work through training, exposure, and audience development activities. The Cultural Content Program develops engaging content for digital formats and new technologies.

For the regular positions, the salary range of a Digital Archives Assistant is PHP205,000 to PHP247,000 per year, Training Specialist (PHP350,000 – PHP382,000), Cultural and Arts Officer (PHP349,000 – PHP673,000), and Usherette/Tourist Guide (PHP844,000 – PHP910,000).

About you
  • Degree in a Bachelor of Library and Information Science with specialization in archives and records management.
  • Those with a PRC license (RA 1080) are preferred but fresh graduates with relevant credentials are welcome to apply.
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Computer savvy and must be experienced in Microsoft Office, and Google Suite. Knowledge and experience in database management, are a plus.
  • Background or training in archiving of materials related to museums or arts and culture is preferred.
