This is an individual contributor role, requiring strong self-management and accountability in managing and executing all accounting and operations tasks. The role will also work closely with our Accounting & Finance as well as the corporate planning team in Singapore and the Global Shared Service Center. This role is also required to serve as the legal document signing authority.

Daily Operations Management:

  • Oversee and manage the finance and accounting department's daily operations, including:

I. Month, quarter, and year-end closing processes.
II. Accounts Payable and Receivable.
III. Cash receipts management.
IV. General ledger maintenance.
V. Payroll and utilities management.
VI. Treasury and budgeting activities.
VII. Cash forecasting.
VIII. Revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
IX. Capital assets reconciliation.
X. Check runs management.
XI. Fixed assets activity oversight.

Financial Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports and statements.

Accounting Methods and Compliance:

  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Taxation Management:

  • Manage and approve various taxation requirements, including VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, FBT, and others.

Financial Statements and Legal Compliance:

  • Prepare, review, and approve annual financial statements and other statutory and legal requirements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts, including the preparation of financial plans and analysis of projected performance to drive strategic decision-making and optimize resource allocation.

Audit and Statutory Compliance:

  • Oversee audit and statutory compliance tasks, including reviewing and approving tax submissions, facilitating annual financial and tax audits, and fulfilling internal audit obligations to ensure regulatory compliance and financial integrity.

Legal Document Signing Authority:

  • Serve as the authorized head of the legal entity, assuming responsibility for signing all legal documents on behalf of the organization including but not limited to Corporate Governance, Regulatory Filings and Compliance, Legal and Litigation, Financial and Taxation, Banking and Treasury, Intellectual Property, Policy Documents, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, corporate governance standards, and contractual obligations in all legal transactions and agreements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Understand stakeholder needs and expectations, and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors/College Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 5 - 7 years relevant experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Proficient in revenue and cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting techniques, both local (PFRS) and foreign (IFRS, US GAAP) accounting standards and Philippine tax regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in JD Edwards and related financial systems
