Place of Assignment: PSHS System-Office of the Executive Director, Gate 4, Senator Miriam P. Defensor-Santiago Avenue (former Agham Road), Diliman, Quezon City

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree relevant to the job
  • Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Training: 8 hours of relevant training
  • Eligibility: Career Service (Professional) Second Level Eligibility

Job Functions:

  • Assists the Chief SRS, spearheads the conceptualization of programs/ projects/ activities/ studies in the areas of academics and/ or capability building (e.g., developing proposals, frameworks, etc.);
  • Assists the Chief SRS (or other proponents), spearheads the implementation of programs/ projects/ activities/ studies in the areas of academics and/ or capability building (e.g., manages actual implementation of programs, curriculum workshops, and research activities);
  • Drafts progress reports and/ or terminal reports in line with the programs/ projects/ activities/ studies implemented;
  • Assists the Chief SRS in curriculum monitoring and analysis (e.g., crafting and conduct of survey and monitoring tools, report writing, etc.)
  • Facilitates the processing of financial documents in relation to programs/ projects/ activities/ studies implemented
  • Assists the Chief SRS in the development of guidelines, rules, procedures, standards and policies relating to the improvement of academic and/ or capacity building areas as a result of research, staff studies, linkages and the like (e.g., analyze data, craft policy standards and rules, etc.); and
  • Performing assigned tasks.

The Philippine Science High School System is an attached agency of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The Board of Trustees (BOT), with the DOST Secretary as the Chairman, is the highest policy making body of the PSHS System.

The Executive Director coordinates the implementation of BOT approved policies and guidelines to the PSHS campuses.

Each PSHS campus is headed by a Campus Director. The Executive Committee (ExeCom) is composed of all campus directors, and headed by the Executive Director. The ExeCom is a collegial body that recommends policies and guidelines for the consideration of the BOT.
