The SOC Engineer role will work with all areas of the business and spearhead client's cyber first approach. The SOC Engineer role is responsible for preventing, analyzing, and remediating threats and vulnerabilities across various devices and networks. The engineer will also be tasked with implementing and managing the suite of security tools provided.

Engineer is expected to Work through the incoming analyst tickets, managing the ticket board, triaging tickets based on priority, helping with compliance tasks such as patching and security changes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and alert on all Cyber Threats and compliance exceptions Sorting through and analyzing incoming alertsResponding to and remediating detected threats and vulnerabilities Prioritizing a cyber first approach Implement and manage the suite of security tools Proactively explore the weaknesses of various IT infrastructure

Skills Requirement:3+ years of CyberSec related role is preferredCyber Security related certificatedCISSP, GIAC, CompTIA Security +, Cisco certified CyberOpsKnowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) Understanding of TCP/IP, computer networking, routing, and switching Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocols Experience with Windows and Linux OS supportNetwork protocols and packet analysis tools Understanding of various firewalls including Fortigate, Meraki
