WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for all deliverables and tasks related to the electrical design for a given project (water/wastewater treatment plant).

The Electrical Engineer manages the production of their own design deliverables (diagrams, calculation notes, lists, specifications/datasheets) with respect to the technical and contractual requirements of the project, and within the project schedule and budget. The Electrical Engineer is part of the project engineering team, led by one Engineering Manager/Technical Coordinator, and reports operationally to the Lead EIC Engineer.

For project execution:

  1. Production of electrical design deliverables, including electrical single line diagram, load list, cable schedule, electrical calculation notes, cable tray layout, electrical room layout, cable connection diagram, etc.
  2. Production of electrical equipment specification/datasheets for inquiry, checking suppliers' offers (compliance with the inquiry), preparation of the technical comparison table with the suppliers' offers, technical ranking of the offers, and participation in the selection of the supplier together with the engineering manager, project buyer, and project manager.
  3. Follow-up and review of the engineering documentation provided by the suppliers/sub-contractors once the purchase order has been placed (such as review and approval of the electrical drawings produced by the panel supplier or sub-contractor, etc).
  4. Coordination with the other engineering disciplines, such as:
    • Check and comment on mechanical equipment datasheet about the electrical information and alignment with the electrical design.
    • Provide inputs to the drafting team for the preparation of the general layout, networks drawings, buildings and works drawings (reservations for electrical cables/cable trays, location and loads of electrical equipment, panels, etc).
    • Support for the approval of the electrical design deliverables by Client/Consultant, reply to comments.
    • Participation in FAT Technical support to the construction sites during Civil, Erection, and Commissioning stages (for changes, malfunctions, clarifications, etc).
    • To be able to read and understand PID symbology in terms of instrumentation, valves type with actuators, limit switch, motor VFD information.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer for infrastructure/EPC projects (ideally wastewater treatment plant projects, or petrochemical projects), during the engineering phase (basic/detailed design).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Registered Electrical Engineer is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering, HV/LV architecture, and design.
  • Knowledge of Electrical design/calculation software.
  • Knowledgeable in Autodesk 3D software (Revit, Naviswork).
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel.
  • Meticulous, committed, structured. Time management and organizational skills. Communication skills as a team member.
