Responsibilities

  • Overall, in charge of the Accounting of the Company.
  • Review and present the consolidated budget proposal and monthly variance report to the Management. Maintains cash flow projection as needed by the Management or other stakeholders.
  • Participates in the Quarterly/Annual Strategic Planning and Management Review of the Company.
  • Monitors the monthly and annual closing of the Company's Book of Accounts.
  • Review the draft Financial Statement of the Company for final review and confirmation by the Top Management.
  • Approves the required BIR tax returns prepared by the General Accountant and reviewed by the Finance Supervisor.
  • Monitors the completeness and validates the accuracy of prepared financial audit requirements before submission to the external auditors of the Company. It includes an audit for financial statements, transfer pricing and tax compliance, and a letter of authority from the BIR.
  • Approves authorized disbursements of the Company - in the form of cash, cheque, and online payment.
  • Performs fair evaluation of Finance Supervisor and Crew Wages Supervisor and assess needed training or guidance to further improve the staff and section overall performance.
  • Updates or approves documented procedures in the Quality Management System of the Company.
  • Monitors cash on hand and cash in bank reconciliation.
  • Monitors the status of the billing statement of reimbursable expenses and agency fees to the Principal.
  • Ensures that all accounting documents and reports are handled and kept properly.
  • Assists the Chief Accountant and the Top Management in setting and monitoring the financial goals and objectives of the Company.
  • Monitors the Accounting Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) of joining crew.
  • Coordinates with other Section heads/staff and directly communicates to the Principal about Accounting-related matters.
  • Coordinates with other internal and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, government entities, suppliers) as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
  • 3-4 years of experience is required for this position
  • Knowledgeable in Philippines Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in accounting software like SUN System
  • Versed in bank reconciliation
  • Has experience in Tax Compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php55,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • 13th month salary
