As a Finance Comptroller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial activities within our organization. You will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Finance Controller will work closely with executive management to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to drive the company's financial performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and explanations.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial plans.
  • Prepare regular forecasts based on current performance and market trends, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze budget vs. actual performance, providing insights to management for decision-making.

Financial Controls and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.

Cash Management:

  • Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity needs are met while optimizing returns on excess cash.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Monitor banking activities and maintain relationships with financial institutions.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to executive management, identifying opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making on investments, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions, or other business opportunities from a financial perspective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience at least 5 years in a financial leadership role, with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
