Presales Engineer - Cyber

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our Pre Sales Engineer focusing on Cyber Security, you need to meet NEXTGEN's strategic and demanding growth targets by adding YOUR value to our customers.

You'll be responsible for nurturing and developing the sales opportunities that are being generated from requests for sales proposals and, leads from distributor partners. This is highly autonomous position for a region that is already well established.

Not everyone can be a NEXTGEN Presales Engineer, so to be seriously considered for this role, we want our candidates to have the following key attributes:

Location:

This is a Manila based position. Candidates need to have the correct rights to work and live in the Philippines before applying for this role.

Education:

· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or a similar field (preferred)

· Cyber Security specialist training ( Eg. SANS Institute | GIAC | EC Council )

· Vendor Certifications (preferred)

Experience:

  • 5 years of solid industry experience either at a Vendor or Channel Partner specializing in Cyber Security.
  • Displayable 2 years' experience at the enterprise architect level.
  • Previous experience as a pre-sales SE in cyber security software solutions.
  • WAF / PAM / IAM / SASE / EDR / NDR / MTD / SIEM / SOAR / Intelligence
  • The successful applicant will have in-depth knowledge of the cyber security landscape, frameworks, government regulative authorities, attack landscapes, IOC's & next generation software used to combat malicious operations.
  • Experience in business, system architecture principles, architecture patterns, processes, and frameworks.

  • Have an affinity for new challenges, a self-starting attitude, and a willingness to work with a global team.
  • Have the ability to understand complex technical problems and work to progress discussions on a partners behalf with the vendor engineering teams.
  • Willingness & passion to learn. This role requires a self-motivator, able to rapidly onboard and become familiar with new technologies.
  • Be technology agnostic, able to understand all facets of the cyber security portfolio without bias to comfortable products.

  • Exceptional client management and communication skills; ability to guide, train, and negotiate technical decisions.
  • You must be an excellent communicator, someone who understands how to frame a message in a clear, concise, and compelling way.
  • An exceptional presenter, able to guide ideas and communicate in a way that produces an impact.
  • Have strong commercial acumen and outstanding business judgment.
  • A collaborative and team oriented nature.
  • Be self-sufficient and highly motivated
  • Be able to receive criticism and feedback about your work.
  • Have a willingness to travel.
