Risk and Control Lead

ING Regulatory Transaction Reporting (ING RTR) is the owner of the centralized transaction reporting platforms and associated transaction reporting services. The RTR is a dynamic, multi-faceted department where collaboration with a large number of internal and external stakeholders is required to deliver complete, accurate and timely regulatory transaction reporting.
As the Risk and Control Lead, you will be responsible for driving an environment of operational excellence while risks are proactively monitored and mitigated. You will translate complexity into a clear process and control framework vision and structure.
Responsibilities include:
1. Leads process management and improvement opportunities
- responsible for end-to-end process performance and its continuous improvement
- drives identification and definition of key performance metrics for processes
- reviews process performance and intervenes accordingly; challenges process participants to improve current performance
- prioritizes and decides process improvement initiatives in alignment with process participants; responsible for alignment on cross domain changes
2. Leads RTR control framework and its policies/ procedures
- continuous review and improvement of RTR Risk and Control framework including establishing relevant policies and procedures
- leads RTR’s participation in ING’s Key Control Testing cycles and oversees input, assessment, and outcome
- owner of RTR reconciliation framework and responsible for alignment on cross domain (non)IT changes to deliver reconciliation framework
- actively pursues improvements to processes focusing on Controls, Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators.
- designs and rolls out metrics and dashboards, Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators, and provide challenge on metrics
3. Oversight on regulatory communication
- gatekeeper for incoming and outgoing regulatory communication
- establishes and maintains regulatory communication framework
- acts as a second reviewer for any regulatory communication
- maintains regulatory communication tracker
4. Owner of RTR Policy House
- establishes and maintains RTR Policy House framework
- owner of RTR Policy House
- leads periodic review cycles of RTR Policy House components such as Work Place Instructions, Polices and Procedures.

Knowledge/Experience:
Good knowledge of control frameworks, compliance, non-financial risk management and regulatory relationshipExperience in process design, measurement, and optimizationExcel at adapting to changing business needs, dealing with competing priorities and applying critical thinking.Excellent written and verbal skills, with confidence and composure at all levels of the business hierarchy.What we offer:
