Arancel Consulting is a boutique US Accounting, Tax and Consulting Services based in Houston, Texas and Metro Manila. Our services cater to American and Filipino clients requiring tax and accounting compliance services with the United States, from the Philippines, across the Asia Pacific Region, and the USA.
We are searching for Tax, Accounting, and Bookkeeping Assistants to learn and grow in US taxation and accounting. No certification or experience required outside of a Philippine accounting degree and above average results in coursework including cost accounting, intermediate accounting, audit, and tax.
RESPONSIBILITIES – Tax Preparation
- Review and gather client submitted materials, collate and organize in accordance with US tax filing requirements;
- Process, input, and calculate using professional software for US tax;
- Follow-up and communicate with clients for questions and additional requirements needed;
- Prepare and provide weekly status updates during our global team calls and local meetings;
- Research, identify, and determine applicable US tax provisions and guidance for each file.
RESPONSIBILITIES – Bookkeeping and Accounting
- Maintain financial transaction records by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance;
- Develop a chart of accounts that defines bookkeeping policies and procedures;
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions;
- Prepare financial statements, such as ledgers, income statements, and balance sheets;
- Utilize the appropriate accounting software to manage and automate financial tasks when relevant;
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data for tax forms according to local and federal mandates;
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Fresh graduates with a degree in Philippine accounting and above average coursework
- Willingness to learn new skills and systems
- Eagerness to be part of a collaborative team and engage in discussions/meetings
- High level of integrity and sense of responsibility
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills
- In-office work attendance at least four times a week (location: Ortigas business district; business hours: 10am-7pm)
Come work in a casual but fast-paced work environment with a cohesive team, flexible hours/location arrangements, and immediate exposure in the international setting with our collaboration with US boutique accounting firms. Prefer resources in the Metro Manila area and its vicinity (as we periodically get together for team meals, drinks and annual international outings).
