Job Summary:

The Landscape Architect reports directly to the Head of the Design Management Group and is responsible for analyzing and translating business requirements into a design blueprint that outlines solutions to the project objectives.The primary focus of the Landscape Architect is to develop, establish and manage the Company’s landscape design standards, branding, identity from which the project landscape designs shall be based and produced either thru in-house creation or management of outsourced design consultants.The position is both a creative and technical role, requiring expertise in planning of outdoor spaces, regional climatic conditions, appropriate planting, irrigation, lighting, as well as the ability to introduce fresh and innovative ideas to the project and the skill in exercising cost management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and establish the Company’s Landscape Design Standards, Branding and Identity for each Market Segment.Close collaboration with the Site Planning and Business team to determine project requirements, budget and timetable.Analyze project requirements and create Conceptual Designs for management approval prior to design development.Due diligence research. Inspect project sites to identify important information on existing conditions and provide recommendations on conservation and sustainability.Produce the project landscape designs, plans and specifications either through in-house creation or management of outsourced design consultants.Prepare design presentations, graphic representations or drawings of proposed plans or designs.Develop plans and specifications including designs for outdoor spaces, planting and irrigation plan, outdoor lighting.Prepare Project Timetable and Assist with determining project costs.Manage contracts, budgets, and related logistics.Supervise the entire process from conceptual development to executing the final design, including conducting site visits to oversee quality control.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and License in Landscape Architecture.Minimum 10 years relevant experience with proven track record in Landscape Design and management for real estate developers or consultancy firms.Highly experienced in designing for real estate projects – Subdivision landscaping, Model House Parks.Excellent knowledge of landscape design concepts, irrigation techniques, and hardscaping.Horticultural experience. Familiarity with what types of plants thrive in a particular environment. Knowledge on Land Surveying.Extensive experience in carrying out environmental impact assessments.Highly creative with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to introduce fresh and innovative ideas to every project. Excellent communication and presentation skills.Excellent judgement and analytical skills. Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving.Well organized, detail oriented, and highly motivated.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Must possess a positive attitude, pro-active, self-motivated, ability to perform and fulfill the work with minimal supervision, and exercise flexibility where necessary to complete the job.

Skills Required:

Highly creative with excellent presentation skills.Proficiency in Landscape Design and Computer-Aided Design CAD software, SketchUp or similar 3D modelling and Rendering software.Proficiency in MS Office Products -- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects
