A leading digital bank has established their IT hubs in the Philippines and is planning to expand their IT team.

Job Description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and related backend technologies.Collaborate with different IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback.Troubleshoot and debug issues, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.Optimize backend systems for performance and scalability.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and propose new ideas and approaches to improve our systems and processes.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.At least 8 years of experience as a Backend EngineerStrong proficiency in Java, including experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.Experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs.Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), testing methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
