Position Summary

The primary function of the position is to ensure production targets are achieved in a timely, safe and cost efficient manner, all within the quality standard and in full alignment with company values.

The job entails:

  • Coordinating the daily field activities requirement from the field service provider;

  • Working with growers and local government leaders within the contract growing location for the production of hybrid seed corn

  • Facilitate seed grower contracting with input from the Field Operations Leader, Legal and Finance departments

  • Planning and securing field area requirements based on the volume plan for seed production

  • Ensuring availability of resources (manpower, farm equipment and tools, facilities and raw materials) needed in the production of high quality hybrid seeds

  • Ensure the accuracy in the implementation of sound agronomy management in planting, fertilizer application, irrigation, weed, insects and disease control for maximum yield level

  • Ensuring Corteva quality standards of isolation, rouging and detasseling are implemented and met in close coordination with the Quality Assurance Leader; Scheduling and controlling harvest flow in close coordination with the Plant Operations Leader or harvest coordinator

  • Ensuring safe, effective and efficient management of field production processes in accordance to Corteva EHS&S policies and brand values.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Graduate

  • Customer Service Oriented and well organized

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness or related field required.

ATTRIBUTES

  • Proactive, Team Player, Problem Solver

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • With proven ability to lead, supervise and motivate others

  • With strong Agronomy background and knowledge of Corn Production

  • Able to work under pressure, with minimal supervision and as part of a team

  • High level of integrity

  • With good driving skills and valid driving license

  • Willing to be assigned to any part of Philippines where Corteva has corn seed production
