Overview

A Data Center Maintenance Specialist is responsible for DITO core data center on-site maintenance management, in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all critical infrastructure components within a data center. The specialists will be managed by O&M HQ and deployed in DITO core data centers in Batangas city and Clark freeport respectively.

Functions and Responsibilities

Responsible for the on-site maintenance management of the infrastructure in data center, formulating on-site maintenance job plans and maintenance specification, and check and evaluate the maintenance quality. Guide the maintenance team to do the alarm monitoring, patrol inspection, troubleshooting, write fault handling reports, and establish the professional troubleshooting case database. Responsible for formulating the data center management rules, writing the monthly maintenance reports and related documentation, optimizing workflows to improve efficiency. Organize training plans to enhance the maintenance skills of personnel. Establish and implement the maintenance personnel performance evaluation program.Coordinates and provide support to contractors with construction, renovation, and optimization projects. Assist in formulating the operating budget and controlling operating costs.Collaborate with other departments to manage and update the infrastructure resources and assets of the data center, update the operating certificate and permits, and assist in visiting, auditing and other activities.Other tasks / functions that may be assigned or required as the network development.

Employment Standards

Must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Data center maintenance industry.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Knowledgeable in M&E and Building Facilities-related systems, such as UPS, DC power systems, Transformers, generators, water-Cooling Air-Conditioning System, PDU, Switchgears, Network Structure, fire protection system, environment monitoring system, Security etc.Good oral and written communication in English, can coordinate and communicate well with manufacture, maintenance team and other department, can compile maintenance requirements, various form and records, fault-handling reports, and other materialsPositive attitude, strong learning ability, excellent problem solving, and analytical skills used to resolve issues and challenges.Possess relevant facilities management and/or data center related certifications, such as CDCP, CDCS, ITIL, PMPPrepared to be on 24x7 standby recall to provide extra manpower coverage when necessary.
