The General Ledger Manager will manage the mapping, chart of accounts, and financial report generation through the company’s nominated accounting and enterprise resource planning systems. What you'll do:
As a General Ledger Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our client's business. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate financial documents while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise in managing accounting systems such as Oracle NetSuite will be crucial in automating reports to expedite processes within the company. You will also monitor payment transactions, ensuring tax-related processes are up-to-date. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in preparing ledger entries, reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of periodic financial statements.
- Creating and maintaining timely, accurate, and compliant financial documents for the company
- Managing the mapping, chart of accounts, and financial report generation through the company’s nominated accounting and enterprise resource planning systems
- Monitoring payment transactions of the company and entering financial data into the ledger
- Ensuring tax-related processes are compliant with updated rules and regulations
- Ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting closures
- Developing and maintaining financial record-keeping and reporting systems
- Preparing and reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reviewing monthly prepaid and fixed asset records and related schedules
- Initiating research on new accounting issues, principles, laws, implementing changes to ensure compliance
What you bring:
The ideal General Ledger Manager will bring a wealth of experience in the general ledger function, backed by a bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance or a related business course. A CPA or CFA qualification would be highly advantageous. You will have strong proficiency in information systems, MS Office, NetSuite, financial management software such as SAP and POS systems. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to identify and rectify financial discrepancies across records, accounts, and books.
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance or related-business course
- CPA or CFA qualification is highly desirable
- Three years' proven experience in a General Ledger function
- Strong proficiency in information systems, MS Office, NetSuite, financial management software (e.g., SAP), POS system, business/accounting process automation tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to report physically to company restaurants or locations as needed
