As the Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of projects and building of a team in Manila, ensuring they are delivered to time, cost, quality and scope. As Track Construction Manager you will play a leading role in supporting the realisation of projects in the Hitachi Rail portfolio. The Track Construction Manager role is a Permanent Full Time position based in Manila.

The key accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Work in close collaboration with the project team, customers, Authorities, partners, contractors and subcontractors to deliver construction projects to plan.
  • Co-ordinate all site activities for the track laying contractor,  in accordance with the project delivery plan.
  • Co-operate with the project team in order to define the planning and interface milestones with other parties involved in the projects.
  • Optimise  project resources (internal or external, including subcontractors) to achieve project deliverables and milestones, in line with the project budget.
  • Collaborate with the Heath Safety & Environment team to define Health Safety & Environmental Management Plan for the project.
  • Lead the implementation of the HSE Management plan on site in adherence with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
  • Provide and share with the Senior Construction manager the evaluation of resource performance.
  • Co-operate with Procurement to define the Logistic Plan.
  • Define and implement the Work Progress Tool for tracking, monitoring and reporting of construction activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated competency in legislation and standards relating to Construction and Health & Safety.
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
  • Site management and team management
  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
