The Nazareth School of Lipa City, Inc. is looking for a caring and reliable Teacher Assistant. 

 

Nature of the Job

The Teacher Assistant acts as the teacher’s aide of the Classroom Adviser/Teacher of a certain grade level in the Preschool Area of the Primary Learning Community of The Nazareth School of Lipa City, Inc. She provides overall assistance work to the main teacher before, during and after each class session during school days and activity days. Her/His presence as the main teacher’s second arm and leg does not only provide ease in general classroom preparation, but also seamless comfort in the delivery of instructional services and student behaviour management. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

I. Administrative

Complies with all employment requirements with the Human Resource CoordinatorReports on time and in time Logs in properly using the biometric machine and/or manual log bookWears proper uniform/dress code and IDAttends trainings and seminars for employeesTakes care of issued work-related supplies, equipment and/or devices and shall be accountable for any misuse, breakage and missing items.Keeps safety and security protocol during emergencyObserves admin policies with utmost professionalismSupports School Improvement ProgramHelps the school grow in enrolmentObserves cost control in class and activitiesSafekeeps school properties/areas under his/her care


II. Pre-Class Obligations

Ensures the safety of the students during fetching time even during dismissal periodHelps prepare the classroom a conducive place of learning.Safeguards students’ safety and security by making sure that the classroom is free from any potential risk or danger;Co-maintains classroom decoration in good condition.


III. In-Class Obligations

Observes safety protocol at all timesProvides assistance to the main teacher in the co-management of instructional servicesPerforms ancillary tasks as assigned by her LevelAssists in the evacuation of students during emergency 


IV. Post-Class Obligations

Cleans the room, sets the tables and chairsReports any anomalies and incidents to the AdminReturns borrowed  school items/lost-&-found itemsCo-manages student behaviour in class.Puts the classroom in order & safe  ready for use for the next day

 

Other Duties

Shows warm welcome to parents, students & guestsJoins in faculty meetings and school eventsServes in committees during school eventsSubmits reports assigned/asked by his/her superiorsSupports the company’s social responsibilityMaintains campus safety, security, orderliness, etc.Performs other duties germane to his/her job
