  • Ensures purchasing policies and procedures are abided, to maintain business controls and work within high ethical standards.
  • Manages key and strategic commodities critical to business operations that may require focused effort and relationship development.
  • Take lead in CFT strategic sourcing initiatives on assigned commodities/services to identify the best source, savings opportunities and improved efficiency, in order to support purchasing goals and objectives.
  • Develops VMI and consignment arrangement with key suppliers to ensure the continuity of supply without increasing inventory.
  • Monitors, expedites and negotiates delivery of orders to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Processes purchase requisitions for the assigned commodities efficiently. Examines and analyzes departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contact department or requestor to clarify or complete necessary information; determines method to process requisition based on amount, timeliness required, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding.
  • Increases the value proposition to the company by working with suppliers to improve payment terms as a result of sustained business relationship without necessarily increasing cost.
  • Regularly conduct solicitation of bids for strategic commodities singly or collectively through the development of a comprehensive “Invitation to Bid or RFQ” documentation package that accurately describes operational needs.
  • Performs supplier accreditation process supported with complete documentation and evaluation.
  • Executes and serve contracts when necessary with suppliers of assigned commodities/services.
  • Communicates business updates to Key & Strategic Suppliers to have a good and strong business partnership with TIIC.
  • Conducts supplier risk evaluation and performance evaluation as required. Manage supplier relationships to promote and protect the interest of the company. Assist in problem resolution on supplier issues and resolves disputes with suppliers.
  • Ensures smooth transition of commodity assignment from another buyer if and when a change of responsibility in procurement is required.
  • Maintains the highest level of integrity in its business dealings with people and organizations and should operate consistent to corporate high ethical standards.
  • Analyzes spend and recommend strategies of assigned commodities to minimize product cost and improve purchasing effectiveness.
  • Monitors market trends and review commodity movement to anticipate cost and supply impact to key and strategic commodities. Establish contacts and network within or outside TIIC to better equip oneself of market development.
  • Generates and submits timely purchasing reports to effectively measure the department’s effectiveness to meet objectives.

     

    Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering or any related field
