      Roles and responsibilities

      • Works closely with the New Product Development Team (Sales and Marketing, Production, QA, Management) to initiate, evaluate, develop and launch new innovative products/product extensions (with consideration of Food Safety and Quality Standards for high level outputs).
      • Works closely with the Manufacturing Team to evaluate, develop, verify process, raw & packaging materials and recommends and/or executes improvements with the objective of increasing efficiencies and reducing costs.
      • Develops methods to create and improve product attributes such as flavor, color, texture, nutritional value and convenience.
      • Reviews changes in industry regulations and makes formal recommendations to appropriate teams regarding product revisions or development.
      • Develop materials, finished product and process specifications.
      • Studies and recommends new equipment, processes, production methods, facilities and equipment upgrade, and streamlining of operations to continuously meet the required service levels of LFC - MRD.
      • Coordinates with counterparts from the plant site units relative to food quality and safety improvement programs.
      • initiate alternative materials, ingredients, equipment and production process improvement.
      • Reviews, analyzes and continuously improves research & development programs, quality management systems programs and departmental operating procedures.
        • Ensures the complete and updated department documents and certifications
