JOB TITLE: Business Intelligence Developer
REPORTS TO TITLE: Business Intelligence Team Lead
BUSINESS FUNCTION/SUB-FUNCTION: Operations/ Data Science and Management (SSOps Data Science)
LOCATION: Philippines
ROLE PURPOSE
Provides data driven solutions to customer and end user needs in clinical trials. Uses their expertise in data visualization and analytics to develop dynamic online reports for outcomes data captured in clinical trials. The scope of work covers projects in setup and maintenance. Ensures deliver of robust, high-quality data visualization and reporting solutions using Oracle SQL, QlikSense and the proprietary TrialMax platform.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (maximum 10)
Identify customer and end user needs for data visualization and reporting and create solutions in collaboration with the customer and theGuide the technical developer in the design of the database and data structures to optimize the visualizing and reporting of data according to the project needsDesign and create dynamic online reports using SQL, XML and Qlik Sense (BI reporting tool) for a broad range of clinical research projectsParticipate in client/design/review meetings as needed, acting as an ambassador forProvide guidance to the client on the most suitable solution, ensuring that all recommendations are achievable within the scopeEnsure definition of done (including unit testing) is met for reports and support verification and validation activities for reportsInvestigate and propose solutions for change in requirements or potential issue/bugPerform billable application work, including system reviews and sales prototypes at customer sitesProvide a high quality service and on time delivery of report sets for the clientSupport onboarding and training/mentoring of new hiresDECISION MAKING AND INFLUENCE
The Business Intelligence Developer role will interact with internal and external stakeholders in order to provide to our internal and external clients with reports to reduce uncertainty, discover (new) relationships between data, separate signal from noise to help and assist in taking the better-informed decision.
To achieve these results, the Business Intelligence Developer role:
will be required to make decisions on the best technical approach in order to implement the client's requirementswill use his knowledge and skills to come up with solutions and ideas to meet internal and external client's needs and expectationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Essential (max 10)
BS, BA degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, programming, related degree or equivalent experienceGood proficiency in SQLAbility to understand customer problems and propose solutions, experience in collaborating with customers and/or end usersGood time management and communication skillsAbility to work independently, demonstrate problem solving skills and ability to escalate when necessaryAble to provide succinct and accurate feedback to the client and the teams about progress and outcomesEvidence of the willingness and capability to share knowledge openly with othersRemains calm under pressure and can handle multiple tasks at any one timeDesirable (max 5)
Proficiency in XMLPython or related scripting language experience is a plusMust be team oriented with a 'Can Do' attitudeROLE DIMENSIONS
