How large is the problem?

Buses are the single-largest mode of transport. They account for 48% of all public transport trips in India, and more in other countries. Compare this with 8% of trips on taxis, and just about 2% on metros. Bus tickets account for $20 billion annually.

However, each bus commuter spends the equivalent of 8 days a year waiting for a bus and bus operators have losses running into hundreds of millions of dollars annually. What we solve We aim to make travel better for everyone.

Today we do so by improving the experience of taking city buses. Our users wait 30 minutes less each day, travel safer with contactless digital tickets, and even save money with Super Saver plans. This kick starts a virtuous circle, where happier commuters mean more rides which in turn means more revenue for our bus operator partners, which means better services for commuters.

As Head of Sales, you will work closely with the CEO and responsible for facilitating, directing, and coordinating sales activities, developing and managing strategic relationship with key partners, and driving sales operational activities to meet business objective and sales target.This includes developing sophisticated and effective proposals, managing a robust pipeline, cultivating relationships, and effectively communicating the value of company’s services and platform to strategic stakeholders.

About The Role

Build and Manage sales management process - pipeline, account planning, CRM and proposal to meet targetEnsure all customers are successfully on-boarded on time and within budgetProspect and pitch new business opportunities to meet sales targetResearch or market survey for new business opportunity, trend and strategy for sales growth to meet sales targetSet up and monitor commercial activities to meet or deliver target on sales budget, cost, volume and efficiency target/KPIMonitor and report the process across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement to successDevelop and maintain the customer relationship by excellently understanding the key customer or target audience to ensure their objectives are being met in order to retain businessRun commercial and trend analysis, scenario modeling and opportunity assessment leading to a commercial Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures in so far as applicable to all financial and non-financial transactionLead and coordinate with related parties both internal and external to achieve the operation and sales target.Create agreement document with client

About You

Whats in store for 2023 and beyond?

We love buses and believe that they run better on technology, rather than fuel. Armed with Indias #1 bus tracking app, and Indias #1 bus travel card, we are going to do a lot more of what we currently do. We are taking it to even more Indian cities and expanding our tech offering. We are currently implementing pilot projects that enable passengers to tap or scan themselves into and out of buses, just like in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.

We have also recently launched India’s largest implementation of NCMC cards in buses, and this is coming to more cities. With our acquisition of Shuttl, we will also expand our presence in the premium bus market, addressing an entirely new audience segment. We have begun operations in 2 international cities and are expanding our global presence.
