About the Unit

Yara Fertilizers Philippines Inc. has been supporting the Filipino farmers since 1986. Headquartered in Taguig City, Yara’s presence is felt across the Philippines where it operates in the country’s three major territories – Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. With two main warehouses located in Bulacan and Davao, respectively and a satellite warehouse in Bataan, Yara has served its growing customers’ needs making its products accessible to end-users. It has a paid up capital of Php155M and core employees numbering 33.

 

It is guided by its mission of “Responsibly feeding the world and protecting the planet”. The parent company, Yara International ASA is a Norwegian chemical company. Its largest business area is the production of nitrogen fertilizer; however, it also encompasses the production of nitrates, ammonia, urea and other nitrogen-based chemicals. The company was established in 1905 as Norsk Hydro – the world's first producer of mineral nitrogen fertilizers – and de-merged as Yara International ASA on March 25, 2004. Yara is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and has its headquarters in Oslo. The company has around 17,000 employees, production sites on six continents, operations in more than 50 countries and sales to about 150 countries

Responsibilities

Inventory

  • Maintains and handles reports related to inventory movement.
  • Oversee and assisting on recording and checking of inventory transactions in SUN System.
  • Supervises physical inventory count.
  • Monthly reconciliations of System inventory balances versus Operations and Sales records.
  • Checking of Weighted Average cost of Inventory.

Monthly Closing and Reporting

  • Prepares inventory analysis for Write down and Write down Reversal Report.
  • Inventory Listing Report: reconciliation of ledger vs Inventory and comparison of movements between months.
  • Business Warehouse Global Contribution (BWGC) report and reconciliation of Sales volume, Revenue and Cost.
  • Monthly analysis and comparison of sales price for premium products.
  • Management Reports – Inventory and Credit Days.

Tax and Audit

  • Assist in Tax and Audit/FS preparation.
  • Transfer Pricing​​​​​​​

 

Profile

A degree in BS Accountancy or equivalent experience preferably gained in a distribution company

CPA or equivalent with experience in Audit a definite advantage

Knowledgeable in Philippine taxation laws

Detail oriented, analytical, with sound business acumen

Strong collaboration, planning and communication skills

Willing to be based in Taguig City with occasional travels
