System Analyst with a specialization in accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and information systems, enabling them to bridge the gap between financial processes and technological solutions. This role involves analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining accounting systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. 

What you'll do:

Requirement Analysis:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document accounting system requirements.Conduct a thorough analysis of existing accounting processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.

System Design and Development:

Design functional specifications and system architectures tailored to meet accounting needs.Work closely with software developers to implement accounting system enhancements and customizations.Perform system configuration and testing to ensure proper functionality and alignment with accounting standards.

Data Management and Integration:

Develop data models and schemes to organize and integrate accounting data from various sources.Implement data validation and reconciliation processes to maintain data integrity across systems.Facilitate integration of accounting system with other business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM)

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through automation and workflow optimization.Recommend and implement best financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting practices.

Compliance and Security:

Ensure that accounting systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive financial information and prevent unauthorized access. 

User Training and Support:

Provide training and support to end-users on accounting system functionality and procedures. Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with technical support teams to resolve them in a timely manner. 

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields.Proven experience as a System Analyst or Business Analyst focusing on accounting systems.In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and reporting requirements. Proficiency in SQL, database management systems, and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are a plus.
