BASIC FUNCTION

 

Position Overview

The Associate Buyer is responsible for supporting the procurement of software or hardware within a defined geography, ensuring that Insight EMEA purchases the right products and the right quantity at the best price. They support the Buyer’s in the purchase of goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, considering price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply

What you’ll do at Insight

-Responsible for the correct placement and fulfilment of purchase orders to distributors including proactive confirmation of purchase orders and obtaining tracking information for shipments, in line with audit requirements.
-Liaise with the Sales and support teams, informing them of the availability and delivery dates, to maximize sales potential
-Ensure that delivery dates on the system are accurate and updated where applicable
-Backlog management; ensuring all PO’s are placed on the day of receipt and following up with distributors for ETA’s
-Manage incoming workflow requests, ensuring all tickets are responded to within SLA’s
-Respond to e-mails requests f rom Sales and support regarding post supply issues within SLA’s
-Maintain and support supplier relationships and keep up good communications
-Liaise with Suppliers over pricing and supply issues
-Support the purchasing team in undertaking due diligence of suppliers and ensure that new suppliers are recorded and registered on business systems
-Manage and update aged inventory aligned with targets set by management.
-Ensure daily departmental reporting requirements are met.
-Deliver license keys directly to the clients (for software buyers only)
-Provide day to day support to Buyers as and when required
-Responsible for tracking and claiming Sales rebates
What you’ll need to join at Insight

-College Graduate
-1 year experience in working within a purchasing function
-Good English Communication skill
-Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with teammates, stakeholders, and suppliers
-Ability to work well under pressure with keen attention to details and accuracy
