The Opportunity:

 

The Accounting Manager for Regional RTR is responsible for managing RTR processes of assigned region. The role is part of the Global Shared Services Center (GSSC) leadership team in implementing the Finance Leadership Team (FLT) strategy. This role supports various accounting functions to resolve complex issues and responsible for managing quality assurance in each of the RTR processes. Lead or participate best practice sharing. The role is also responsible in the recruitment, performance appraisal, and development of each team member. The Accounting Manager can be called upon to create and lead special projects throughout the year. The role also contributes to establishing procedures and internal controls.


You Are Great At:

 

  • Manage a functional team or group of functions assigned on the day-to-day operations and ensuring on-time and quality preparation and completion of various accounting regular tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reports.
  • Provides support to the management in implementing policy and changes and delivering operational strategies.
  • Review and sign-off on account transactions posting and reconciliations to ensure alignment to both statutory and managerial reporting requirements
  • Provide management advisory on various tasks, projects, regular process review and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Monitor gaps or issues in the process and resolves medium to complex problems.
  • Provide support to the Sr. Director on various monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and reporting including attending to periodic calls for Controllers.
  • Accountable that monthly KPIs/SLAs targets are met.
  • Lead any team meeting, quarterly business review, regular meetings with Controllers, and other meetings as required.
  • Review of account balances movements, preparation of trend analysis and  providing relevant explanation for fluctuations.
  • Lead in the implementation and documentation of internal control processes and related procedures to ensure strict compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
  • Conduct performance management and career development processes, provide input for staffing and disciplinary actions, coaching and guidance.
  • Drive efficiencies to every process and functions.
  • Support and manage employee engagements and address team-members immediate concerns.
  • Serve as a primary back-up for Sr.  Director.

 

What It Takes: 

 

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy, Business or Finance related courses
  • CPA preferred
  • Preferably with at least 5 years of Managerial level experience in Shared Service or BPO
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated skills in matters related to accounting and financial policies, procedures, and reporting.
  • Analytical, critical, and creative thinking to identify problem and propose resolution. With RCA/ Six Sigma background is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, and good documentation and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing a functional team and effectively prioritize work to meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong people leadership skills, people development experience, proven ability to lead, motivate and train
  • Must be an excellent communicator both verbal and written, with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, has demonstrated ability to influence leaders and levels of authority
  • Strong customer service mindset with demonstrated success in business partnering to achieve organizational goals
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experience in SAP and Blackline is preferred
  • Basic US GAAP required
  • Knowledgeable in SOX is preferred
  • Supports other assignments and ad hoc matters as required
  • Willing to work on flexible hours.
