Functional Overview:

The IT Associate provides technical support and assists in the management and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and applications, while also offering exceptional support to end-users.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Provide front-line support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.System Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and network equipment.Software Management: Manage software installations, updates, and licensing. Ensure all software is up to date and functioning correctly.Hardware Management: Set up, install, and configure new hardware, including computers, printers, and peripherals.Network Support: Help maintain and monitor network systems to ensure reliability and security. Assist in troubleshooting network issues.User Management: Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems and applications.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, inventory, and support requests, document procedures and solutions for future reference.Security: Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures to protect organizational data and systems. Monitor for and respond to potential security threats.Training: Provide basic training and support to end-users on software, hardware, and best practices for IT use.

 

Minimum Competencies:

Knowledgeable in handling, configuring, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and network cabling Knowledgeable in computer networking, and hardware and software operation, installation, servicing, and troubleshootingComprehensive understanding of business reporting activities and processesTech savvy and knowledgeable with up-to-date softwares, programs, and applications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience: 1 year of experience in an on-site IT support or technical role preferred.Technical Skills: Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), common software applications, and network fundamentals. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles is a plus.Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are advantageous but not required.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.Work Schedule: Willingness to work on weekends, with rest days allocated on weekdays.Residency: Must be a resident of Metro Manila.
