Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Specialist, Central Laboratory PhysioChem is responsible for performing routine and specialized physico-chemical or microbiological analysis of raw materials, finished food and beverage products, water, and wastewater as required for acceptance, verification of product parameters, product registration, and monitoring for regulatory compliance; for conducting method validation; for calculating the uncertainty of measurement; for documenting laboratory test methods; and for conducting training related to the field of specialization.

What are their Job Responsibilities:

1. Accountabilities

   a. Provision of test results with highest accuracy at the minimum calculated measurement uncertainty through conduct of timely analysis with utmost quality orientation, professionalism and integrity;

   b. Safe keeps documented information relevant to product registration, claims, regulatory compliance, conformance to mandatory and voluntary requirements, and quality related issues;

   c. Ensures confidentiality and control of test results generated;

   d. Optimizes use of equipment and laboratory consumables with sense of ownership. Makes certain that all resources within accountability are properly utilized.

   2.Organizational interface

   a. Reports directly to the Section Manager.

   b. Interfaces with customers during sample acceptance, conduct of technical assistance, and release of test reports.

   c. Coordinates with internal partners and external service providers.

   What are the Qualifications:

   • Fresh graduate or with at least one (1) year relevant work experience.
   • Proficient in oral and written communication.
   • Computer literate, hardworking, and proactive.
   • Can work with minimum supervision.
   • Must be of good moral character.
   • A graduate of B.S. Chemistry, B.S. Biochemistry, B.S. Food Technology, or related course
   • Licensed chemist, chemical technician, or food technologist
