When you apply, please make sure the subject line is: “John, I read the instructions.”
I am the co-founder of Kilo - a gym management software that has been on Inc.’s list of the fastest-growing US companies for the last two years, and the CMO of Two-Brain Business, one of the largest gym mentorship companies in the world.
I am also a Dad with two young kids and two dogs.
Free time is hard to come by these days; that’s why I am looking for an executive assistant to help me stay organized as we grow.
My dream candidate:
-Fast, fast, fast, fast, super-fast at communicating
-Uber organized
-Possesses a sickening degree of attention to detail
-Can handle a to-do list that’s a mile-long
-Is great with technology and learns new software quickly
-Always thinking outside of the box
-Frugal with my money
-Takes great pleasure in tearing my phone company a new one for overcharging me by accident
-Has the memory of an elephant
-Answers every email, remembers every birthday, always follows up
-Yells at me when I am behind on something important
-Gets work done WAY before schedule just because you can
-Doesn’t mind occasional in-person work and travel
-Can deal with a real pain for a boss, who is busy, bad at communicating, and does not give much direction
-Is not afraid to give me a hard time for being bad at communicating and not giving you direction
-Enjoys an eclectic mix of work. Anything from booking a live mariachi band for an event in Dallas to ordering flowers for my wife is fair game.
-Can lift a box weighing 30 lbs over their head
-Hates a mess
-Has a strong understanding of Facebook and Instagram
-Works well in person and remotely
-Comfortable wearing a million hats
The fine print:
- Most of the work can be done remotely.
- You’ll handle business and personal tasks for me.
- I am looking for someone with extreme attention to detail.
- Expect to get several requests/day from me, some of which must be done that day.
- The job will start as a contract position with a 60-day trial period.
- In the beginning, expect around 20 hours of work per week. The starting pay is $25/hr.
- Depending on how we work together, this can quickly become a salaried position.
To Apply:
Submit the following to J+Help@UseKilo.com:
- Please tell me about yourself--specifically your experience in support work.
- How would your last boss describe your personality? What would they say is your strength, and what is your weakness?
- I want to book podcast guests for the rest of the year. The ideal guest is a gym owner doing over $1M in revenue. How would you go about finding and scheduling the next 30 guests?
- I asked you to send a mail merge to a list of 200 people to gauge interest in an event I am throwing in June. You’ve never done that before. How would you go about completing the task?
