We're looking for a Medical Coder, working in Staffing/Recruiting industry in Ayala Avenue, Makati City, Metro Manila, 1223, Philippines.

 

Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures.
 Documentation Review: Ensure completeness of medical records for accurate coding and billing.Compliance: Follow coding guidelines and regulations to ensure adherence to federal and state laws.Auditing and Reporting: Perform regular audits of coded data to maintain accuracy and compliance, and generate necessary reports.Communication: Work with healthcare providers and staff to resolve coding discrepancies and clarify information.Education and Training: Stay current with changes in coding standards and regulations through ongoing education.

Experience Required for Your Success

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Health Information Management, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 1 year in healthcare quality assurance, medical coding, or clinical documentation improvement preferred but not required.Knowledge: In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes. Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. CPC or CCS certification preferred.Skills: Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex medical documentation and coding guidelines.Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Technical Proficiency: Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare information management software.Detail-Oriented: Focused on accuracy and precision in documentation review.Adaptability: Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment: Willingness to work onsite and adhere to a fixed night shift schedule.
