GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY

This position is responsible for managing the upkeep of the Water Network Facilities as well as overseeing the maintenance activities on these facilities in order to hit Maynilad’s service obligation. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

1. Report all issues concerning the assigned facilities to the appropriate maintenance units. 

2. Record and monitor all reported issues until completion of maintenance works. 

3. Supervise and give assistance to the maintenance units during maintenance works. 

4. Create, implement and monitor programs for the improvement of the upkeep of the assigned facilities, including but not limited to preventive building works and refurbishments. 

5. Provide status report of programs of assigned facilities to Facility Maintenance Head and assist in consolidation of reports from Facility Engineers. 

6. Ensure compliance of the assigned facilities to Integrated Management System standards (e.g. Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, Occupational Safety and Health Management System), Energy Management System, and Business Continuity Management System. 

7. Ensure the asset registry of the assigned facilities are aligned with the actual equipment installed on site and with the assets listed on the Asset Condition Report. 

8. Assist in grading asset performance and in accomplishing the Asset Condition Report of the assigned facilities. 

9. Prepare and consolidate budget plans, and create budget monitoring forms for the assigned clustered facilities. 

10. Monitor performance of Facility Engineers. 

11. Assist in creation of consolidated report on target monitoring of the Facility Maintenance section. 

12. Perform Safety Officer duties for the assigned facilities. 

13. Perform Pollution Control Officer duties for the assigned facilities. 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

Licensed Mechanical Engineering 

With at least 5 years of work experience related to water supply operation and/or building management 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES 

Knowledge of basic hydraulics principles; 

Knowledge of automation and SCADA system; 

Basic knowledge in database management; 

Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology. 

Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; 

Able to apply independent judgment, personal discretion, and resourcefulness in interpreting and applying guidelines; 

Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; 

Skilled in operating computers and related software applications. 

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/ATTITUDES 

Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet targets and tight deadlines 

Willingness to work on staggered time schedule 

Customer service oriented 

 

WORKPLACE RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Work is typically performed in an office setting with normal ranges of temperature and a moderate to high level of office background noise. The duties may also include performance time in the field at terminals and operations. This may include outdoor and project related work. 

Face-to-face interaction, as well as via e-mail, telephone and mobile phones are typically the occurring ways of communication. This job also requires the ability to use other office equipment such as printer, copier, fax machine, etc. 

Occasionally attend to meetings and trainings throughout the office and at other company office sites and field locations. 

Constantly work in a team environment to achieve goals
