ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Commercial Glazing Drafter who will be responsible for generating accurate and thorough shop drawings for a wide variety of projects ranging from small interior windows to large commercial projects using AutoCAD and according to the client’s drafting standards. You will need to solve complex problems and provide solutions as needed for the shop, field, and project management teams for any projects assigned to you.

 

WORK SCHEDULE: TBD Central Daylight Time, follows Philippine holidays

 

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

 

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Produce shop drawings based on information supplied by the project management and estimating teamsRead and understand the architectural drawings to meet the design intentFollow window manufacturer installation instructions and the client’s drafting standards to generate thorough shop drawings for the shop and field teamsProvide material takeoffs as neededGenerate RFIs to get information clarified with the customersWork with other drafters in a team environment to help on projects as neededAssess the constructability of the systems being drawnSchedule your time to meet deadlines as indicated for each projectAnswer technical questions that may arise on the projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree in the related fieldA minimum of 2 years of glazing industry experience generating shop drawings in the building facade industryKnowledge of glass industry dynamics and glazing products (fixed glazing, aluminum and glass storefronts, doors, and interior glass)General understanding of commercial building practicesExperience with takeoffs is a big plusExperience using AutoCAD above 2010Experience with Bluebeam for PDF documentsExperience with Microsoft Office products including Word, OneNote, and ExcelExperience in a multi-client environmentPossess good problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAnalytical skills with particular attention to detailAbility to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
