DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Work with the Big Data Analytics Development and Innovation Data Scientist to build data pipelines to automate and optimize end-to-end data lifecycles i.e. ingest to models
2. Implement load and performance testing to improve and optimize new and existing data pipelines
3. Work with the Big Data Analytics Operations and Business Intelligence Data Engineer to integrate data sources from different business units, deploy to production, and handover data pipelines for maintenance support
4. Implement high-complexity changes in existing data pipelines
5. Perform research and development activities on data engineering practices, e.g. optimization and automation, to integrate new big data technologies and platforms
6. Work with the Big Data Analytics Development and Innovation team to create big data architecture, programming, and implementation department standards
7. Assist in other areas of the department/company as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 

Graduate of any Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math course or its equivalent.Work Experience (Overall employment, Specific experience):
At least five years experience in any data specialization with a strong computational or engineering focus.Understanding of distributed data processing concepts and well versed in big data technologies for ETL, automation, and orcestration such as Scala/Java,
SQL or at least one RDBMS, Apache Spark, NiFi, and KafkaUnderstanding of basic cloud computing applications and technologies e.g.
AWS, Kubernetes
