Intern will work under the 4153 – Retail Product Client department based in the ROHQ office located at BGC, Taguig City, specifically assisting the QA team on their day-to-day tasks and deliveries. The intern is expected to carry out specific testing and documentation tasks as instructed by QA Lead. This individual should have an academic background in Information Technology, with focus on software development and/or programming.

Intern will work under the 4153 – Retail Product Client department based in the ROHQ office located at BGC, Taguig City, specifically assisting the QA team on their day-to-day tasks and deliveries. The intern is expected to carry out specific testing and documentation tasks as instructed by QA Lead. This individual should have an academic background in Information Technology, with focus on software development and/or programming. 

The individual should be able to deliver the following key results:

Responsibilities: 

Create test cases for specific tickets or change requests Execute test cases manually for specific tickets or change requests Analyze bugs and errors found during tests and submit in Jira as ticket Run automation regression test suite and, analyze and report test results Familiarize self with Asurion’s global test automation framework Develop and/or maintain automation test cases given the existing test automation framework Participate in load testing exercises together with rest of the team

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Familiarity with Java programming language a plus Keen on details Solid analytical skills Solid interpersonal, communications, organizational and time management skills Strong self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Learnings:

By the end of the internship program, the intern is expected to learn thru hands-on experience the following:

Learn about software development life cycle and methodologies Learn about software quality assurance processes and other related activities Exposure to testing tools Exposure to test automation processes and tools Ability to code and develop test cases on their own
