WHAT IS A AU BOOKKEEPER & PAYROLL?

Our awesome client, an award-winning, top 100 Professional Services practice located in Australia, is looking for a Bookkeeper & Payroll to join their team. This position is an administrative position handling financial records of clients. 

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES? 

Bookkeeping:

Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software (XERO) or databases then filing hard copiesPreparing financial statements showing business income and expenditureRegular Bank Reconciliation Completing Monthly and Quarterly BAS returnsVerifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountant of errorsRecording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuraciesDeveloping monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheetsHelping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts

Payroll:

Maintaining payroll information for Clients by collating, calculating and Payroll data for Payroll ClientsGenerating Clients fortnightly payroll fileUpdating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductionsPreparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensationResolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queriesMaintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

Xero and other cloud-based Payroll systemsAccounting and BookkeepingAustralian Accounting and Tax Compliance, and Payroll compliance2-3+ years of experience in Australian Payroll and BookkeepingWilling to work on-site in Ortigas Pasig City
