The Taxation Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and Human Resources departments, ensuring compliance with all free trade zone requirements, and handling various ad-hoc requests including payroll related tasks and monthly filings and registrations. This position requires a strong understanding of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Understanding of BIR related regulations and must be able to visit government related offices such as PEZA, BIR, SEC or any other regulatory offices of the assigned region

 

Tax Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and review tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities as needed

     

    Free Trade Zone Requirements.

    • Manage and ensure compliance with all free trade zone regulations.
    • Prepare and submit required documentation for free trade zone activities.
    • Liaise with free trade zone authorities to resolve any compliance issues.

       

      Support to Operations and Human Resources.

      • Provide analytical support to the Operations and Human Resources departments.
      • Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
      • Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes.
      • Work closely with HR/ Payroll team to monitor and manage overall employee tax audit to ensure compliance with country specific legislations and recommend actions anticipating any spike that will cause tax deficit come tax annualization season.

         

        Ad-hoc Requests/ Other Duties Assigned.

        • Handle various ad-hoc requests related to tax compliance and business operations.
        • Provide detailed analysis and reports on an as-needed basis.
        • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any urgent compliance issues.

          Other duties as assigned

          Champion company core values and other company programs.

           

          Education

          Bachelor's degree or college diploma focused on commerce with an emphasis in finance and taxation or any relevant or similar course.

          Experience

          Minimum of 3 years' work experience with Tax Compliance.

          Experience as a compliance officer or subject matter expert in an auditing firm or related government office mentioned of expertise is a plus.

          Others:

          Must be willing to work on site in Mckinley, Taguig.

          Must be willing to travel.

          Amenable to work on shifting schedule/US Business Hours (Night Shift)
